Why We Built This Site
Texas provides several public paths to criminal justice information, yet the source depends on the kind of record. The Cooke County Sheriff holds local arrest, booking, incarceration, and offense material. The District Clerk keeps felony files, while the County Clerk handles most Class A and B misdemeanor files. Fine-only matters remain with municipal or justice courts. Texas DPS operates the statewide criminal-history repository and public conviction search, TDCJ maintains the state inmate locator, and DPS runs the Texas Public Sex Offender Registry. Bringing those distinct official channels together makes it easier to ask the correct office for the correct record.

What We Cannot Do
This is a privately operated reference resource with no connection to a Texas court, police department, sheriff, clerk, or state agency. That means several services are outside its role.
- We cannot obtain an official criminal record or perform a government background check for a visitor
- We cannot submit an expunction petition, nondisclosure request, or public-information request for anyone
- We cannot certify a court document, booking record, registry entry, or criminal-history response
- We cannot correct a government file or offer legal advice about a specific case
- We cannot promise that an agency fee, address, phone line, or web service has not changed
Only the Cooke County office or Texas agency that maintains a record can issue an official or certified copy.
Search Partners
Search boxes on some pages are supplied by outside providers. Those businesses control their own services, prices, signup terms, and results. A paid signup reached through one of those tools may generate a referral fee that supports operation of this resource. We do not set the provider's charges and do not control the records it returns.
